This is a case study of a case we handled from a car accident in New London, Connecticut.  This case was a hotly contested car crash from a car crash in New London on Broad Street.  It was unclear who was a fault for various reasons.  Our client was from Groton, Connecticut.  The other party was from New London. 
The two parties had different version of the events.  Liability for the crash was unclear.  Our client suffered a left knee injury.  
Our strategy with this case, was to focus on our damages case to build up the claim as much as possible.  We were able to meet with the treating doctor, and obtained a very favorable report for our client.  We were able to obtain cost estimate of proposed surgery after issuing a subpoena to a non-cooperative hospital.  This created a significant risk to the defendant, and convinced them to reach a reasonable settlement in this case.
