Since car crash with two passengers | Fatality | Who was driving?
Most car crashes involve two cars. This case involved only one car, and we had to prove who was driving the car. The case was challenging because the survivor of the car crash had no memory of the crash, and our client unfortunately died in the terrible crash.
We represented the estate of the decease person. In order to win, we needed to prove who was driving the vehicle. If is was our client, then obviously, we could not win. We were able to obtain several experts including engineers, reconstruction experts, and doctors who reconstructed the accident and the injuries suffered to determine the identity of the driver.
This case went to trial and we won. We were able to obtain a jury verdict in favor of the administrator of the estate of the deceased passenger.
This case is known as Melly v. Melly.
The result was a jury verdict in our client’s favor. We are able to prove that the other passenger was the driver of the car.
