In a July afternoon a driver for GNC Corporation was driving a van.  He was tired.  He did not notice the traffic in and crashed into D’s our car.

Our client was a workers.  She did not want to miss work.  But she had to due to sever pain caused from he neck injury.  She has severe pain in the neck, in both arms.  She had very bad headaches which became intollerable.  She did everything she could to avoid surgery. She did physical therapy, steriod injections, and she tried medications.  She had great fear of surgery.  She was very courageous to endure such great pain in her effort to hopefully avoid surgery.

D had to have a cervical fusion at the C 5/6, 6/7 level.  A fusion procesure is when two disc in the spine are made into one.  It is a very serious procedure.  D’s procedure went well.  The procedure was performed at Backus Hospital in Norwich, Connecticut.
