Retaliation for complaining about sexual harassment | Settlement
Case: Scrivano v. Potter, United States District Court for the District of Connecticut
In this case our client claimed that she was being sexually harassed by a co-worker. She complained to her supervisor, and to human resorces. She filed a complaint in the company. Because the harasser was fairly popular at work our client was fired. We sued to get her job back.
A favorable settlement was eventually reached. The terms include reinstatement to a similar position as a postal worker in the location where the plaintiff now lives, and a $75,000.00 monetary payment to the plaintiff.
In this case a lawsuit was filed. The case settled after a mediation, and before trial.
