Road rage incident make initial car crash much worse |
Here are the facts: Our client was stopped. He then struck from behind by someone driving a pickup truck. The driver apparently became very enraged, and backed his car up, and then went forward again intentionally ramming our client’s car a second time. The defendnat was charged with a crime.
Our client suffered from neck and back injuries from the crash.
In order to help our client we did two things: First, we filed suit against the defendant, and second we monitored the criminal case for our client, and acted as a liason between the state’s attorneys office, and our client. The lawsuit alleged negligence, recklessness, and a violation of Connecticut General Statute section 14-295.
The defendant’s criminal case ended with the defendant applying for and getting AR or accelerated rehabilitation.
The civil case against the defendant settled for $27,000.00.
Our client was very pleased with the results.
